Get To Know Us

We are a family business.

Women-owned and community oriented, we are also 100% LGBTQ+, “woo-woo” & earth friendly.

We are a reforestation partner.

Since 2019, 1.5% of our revenue for every website project has gone to reforestation efforts on the BC coastline, or a forest near you. 1,046 trees and counting! I partner with One Tree Planted to get this done. You can read all about that here.

We give back.

We sponsor non-profits and community organizations every year to help elevate their message. You can see some of those projects in the portfolio. We invite Indigenous-run businesses to apply for our 15% off grant, and if you’re working in your community? Talk to me about more support.

Our vision.

We hold fast to the vision of a democratic, bio-diverse, inclusive and compassionate future where all people regardless of age, race, religion, identity and orientation are cared for in their communities, art and culture is celebrated & supported and everyone has an equal right and opportunity to thrive.

We see environmental destruction and nature deficit culture, mass extinction, the rise of fundamentalist thought, unfettered capitalism and loss of space for spiritual practice in our culture, as core issues that are interconnected.

We believe we humans are a part of nature and are meant to be stewards of the environment in which we live - and that that environment also has an inherent right to exist and to thrive, in and of itself. #EnvironmentalPersonhood

How we work.

We’re a Small Team

That means we can pay extra special care to your details. You get personal, personable one-one attention from us from step one to launch.

We Let the Creative Process Lead

We’ve worked out our timeline through trial and error over the course of the last 20 years. We deliver a efficient, productive services with a relaxed and patient approach that prioritizes the creative process and leaves room for life to happen.

Here for a Good Time, and a Long Time

We take good care of you, even after your website has launched. Founded in 2000, we love that our happy clients come back to us again and again. We’re in your network to stay.

We Invest in Health & Wellness

We reserve a portion of each work day for family, meditation and self-care. This gives us the fuel we need to bring 100% to our creative work.

We think forest bathing, cold plunging and sunbathing are better than any vitamin or diet regimen.

We know aaaaall about social media, but we will def recommend you get off of there as much as possible.

We’re Unconventional

We believe in calm business, lots of sleep and flexible schedules inside of a can-do mindset. We avoid business attire, the rat-race and don’t subscribe to “busy is better”. We foster this space-making in all that we do, and encourage you to as well.

The history.

The company is owned by mother-daughter team and Canadian West Coast locals, Jude and Sky Goodwin.

Goodwin Creative Ltd was established in 2000 and incorporated in 2019. The mother-daughter team of Jude Goodwin (she/her) and Sky Goodwin (she/her) together comprise over 25 years of web design and development experience. During that time we have launched over 70 websites including many relaunches for returning customers.

With Sky’s background in visual arts, event management and administration and Jude’s 30 years of design, together we make a dynamic, multi-generational, well rounded team with diverse interests and skills. We love good design and love working together, and it shows.

In Q3 2023, Jude takes a back-seat.

We congratulate Jude on her retirement and her 30+ years in business as an entrepreneur and small business owner in the design field! Though she will be taking a back seat around here in administration, project management and the general direction of the company, she’s still one of our principal designers, our co-owner and trusted consultant.

As with many family-run businesses, the older generation never really retires, they just get to take more and more time for themselves. Jude is looking forward to time with her grandkids, her doggy and her political activism.

Sky takes the reins as CEO, administrator, project manager, designer and all around many-hat-wearer.
