Salmon Arm Fair
The Salmon Arm and Shuswap Lake Agricultural Association hosts an annual fair, Salmon Arm Fair. We built both the organization and the fair as a single site a few years ago, but this year they asked that we build a dedicated site for the fair.
They wanted bright colours, and all the information easily found both on laptops and on mobile devices.
To start we duplicated the old site and updated the pages and content. Then we were able to start the fun stuff. We used pieces of the logo as dividers and accents. We created slanted page dividers to give the site a feeling of movement. We uploaded a custom font for some of the headings and used Squarespace’s new Fluid engine to apply fun touches such as the swoops under words and the scrolling word bar on the home page.
