Vote Socialist
VOTE Socialist is a party registered with BC Elections in July 2022. It ran three candidates in the 2022 Vancouver Municipal Elections.
The website needed to host the entire VS platform, introduce the candidates, run an ongoing calendar of events, host intake forms and petitions and publish press releases and news reports. This was a lot to ask and Squarespace was up to it.
As well as website design and maintenance, Goodwin Creative was responsible for branding and advertising material including posters, flyers, handouts, petition and signup sheets, banners, button designs, T-shirts and more posters. You’ll see a good collection of these items below.
Logo Design
We also designed the logo. The colours red and black are archetypical colours for socialism in the western world. The girder design represents workers and unions but also echos the Granville Street bridge. The rose is universally recognized as a symbol of socialism. And finally, those of you who have take our Logo 101 course will understand the significance of the font - tall and slightly slanted to give a sense of urgency.
