You’re clearly not alone with this question: How do you log into your Squarespace website?
You decide to call your web designer who, of course, is very happy to help and this is what she tells you.
Your Login Invitation
When your website is launched your webmaster will send you an invite from Squarespace to set up a login for the dashboard. This will require an email and password. Once you’ve set this up, only you will know the details. Your webmaster will not be given your login information. We recommend you write it down. Now that’s done. let’s login to your site.
Type squarespace.com/login into your browser bar.
Option 1: Standard Login via Email and Password
The most common way to access your Squarespace account is by using the email address and password with which you registered. Simply head to squarespace.com/login, input your credentials, and you’re set to go. This method is direct and is often the quickest way to get started on your site management tasks.
If you’ve forgotten your password, click on CAN’T LOG IN? and follow the prompts.
Option 2: Social Media Accounts
For those who prefer a more integrated approach or perhaps fewer passwords to remember, Squarespace offers the option to log in using social media accounts such as Google or Facebook. This process is particularly seamless if you are already logged into your chosen social media platform on your browser. Just select the social account icon at the login page, and follow the prompts to access your Squarespace dashboard.
Confirming Your Site
Upon logging in, especially in environments where multiple sites are managed under a single account, it’s crucial to confirm that you are working on the correct site. Your account dashboard displays a preview image, site title, and domain for each site linked to your account. Simply hover over the preview image and click 'Go To Website' to ensure you are in the right workspace.
Staying Logged In
Squarespace provides a convenience feature where your login state is preserved for up to 30 days unless you decide to log out or clear your browser’s cache. This feature is particularly useful for frequent users who require regular access to the platform without repeatedly entering their credentials.
Logging Out
When you need to secure your account after your tasks are complete, logging out is just as straightforward. On a computer or through the Squarespace app, accessing your account dashboard and clicking on your profile picture or initials will provide an option to log out. Moreover, for those who manage their sites from various devices, Squarespace offers a login activity panel where you can view all devices currently logged in and remotely log out any session as needed.
